As long as you have already started a new game with the mod, you can enjoy any updates without problems. After all, the mod's changes affect only the initialisation at the start of a new savegame. People who are already using the mod need not worry. Since this mod alters a core file of the game, whenever the developers publish an update or a patch for the game, this mod will probably stop working for new players until I update it. Just make sure to read the instructions carefully and make backups before editing anything. If you really want to alter the cost of Carefree Melody (no need to bother with Kingsoul, as its final form is free anyway), I suggest you use a save-game editor like this one to edit its cost after you have acquired the charm. As such, they maintain their original vanilla cost.
